Humanities and Family Day

Well there goes our ever so easy Humanities. Oh well it was fun, but a bit of a hassle too, primarily for myself and other members of photography. We had to take at least 500 pics for the entire week. It was quite fun though. I'll be putting some of those up as well. I guess links will be on the next post.

Even if it was a hassle for me, everyone even had fun. Even for the dikum contest. Well at least we did. Who knows what kind of stress everyone else endured.

Though I don't think many people enjoyed the opening salvo. Most of them had to stay in the horrifyingly hot sun. But since I was photo I was able to stay under the cooling roof of the grandstand :)

ACLE were good too. I was assigned to take pictures of the first years and I can only say one thing. MAGULO! It was soooooo disarranged. You wouldn't think it was a fora. I mean, at first, it's all so peaceful. Then their Batch Advisor comes out and suddenly says, "Since the ones who will talk aren't ready yet, let's have a game!"

2012:"YAAAAYYYY!!!!"

Advisor:"Okay. This game will hopefully get you to know the rest of your batch mates!"

2012 gets even noisier

Advisor:"You will all be given a piece of paper. I want you to write down the name of any batch mate not in your section."

*5 min of writing pass

Advisor:"You should be done now. Next I want you to find the person whose name you wrote and ask them to sign it."

2012 gets all excited.

THEN BOOM! It's like a sudden transition from two completely different things. From a army like stance, it gets like they were shopping in the market. Arrrghhhhh!!!! I couldn't even take good shots. It went on for like 20 min. Luckily for me I was on the balcony. We were in the ASTB btw. Anyway after that 20 min they were announcing the winners of the games. Then finally someone from the speakers started to talk. DAMN!!!!! Was she talkative. At least it was safe to go down though. Rock Ed Phil were the speakers for their Fora, and the topics she talked about were kinda weird but actually had a good message. (BUT WAY TOO MUCH IN BETWEEN) One of the stories was that she didn't like animals and went with her family to go "Whale Spotting." When they saw one, she was kinda afraid, but when she got to see it, she started to like animals. Anyway the main moral was that if you wanna do something, you have to make sure it fits you and you're willing to put effort into it. Then the band finally performed and did it rock. They were some local band "Gasulina" from Cagayan. They were pretty good. The first year ACLE Fora was fun. Glad I was assigned to it.

The ACLE though wasn't like that. I was assigned to picture Pizza Making and Ethnic Music. There wasn't any pizza making so when I got enough pics f ethnic music, I asked Sir what to do because they were conveniently there videoing the Ethnic music. He said to just take pics of people in the caf so that's what I did. Lol, kinda like a west of pictures.

Afternoon was the KKKwiz, the soc sci quiz bee. Joe was our representative but he didn't win T_T. Oh well, there are plenty of other fish in the sea. One thing, so many sleep during that. My sleeping pics were more than the actual KKKwiz pics. That says something...

WEDNESDAY. Not much to say. It's actually just pinoy performances. But then again we did win 3rd place in the Di-kubensyonal na Musika Contest. That's kinda all that's significant for me.

Thursday was a more active day. We had the speech contests. the 3rd year representatives were per section. Here are the reps and my opinions of them:
Beryllium - Juan Senga - 8/10
Cesium - Bryan Tan - 5/10
Lithium - Andrea Allegre - 8.5/10
Magnesium - Fidel Serrano - 9/10
Potassium - Aldrich Suratos - 8/10
Rubidium - *DI KO KILALA* - 7/10
Sodium - Athena Aherrera - 8/10
Strontium - Anton Tanquintic - 9/10
After that were 4th years but I decided to leave because 1, my camera needed to charge and 2 I got really sleepy and Hungry.

In the after noon was the fashion show. Now that was like photography's main job. I mean we really needed to be there. We were the photographers. But then I learned for events like those it's best to stay at an advantageous angle.

Friday was just recognition. BOORING. Talent show was fun, especilly teacher performances. I wasn't able to see the Math unit though. Sayang Naman.

Anyway card getting wasn't that bad. I'm still here after all :)
